Sorakuen Garden is the only urban traditional Japanese garden in Kobe and has been designated as a national registered monument (scenic spot). The former Kodera Barn, Boat House, Hassam House (all are Important Cultural Properties) and Tea Room Kanshintei are well placed and match the landscape of the garden.

• ten-minute walk northwest from JR/Hanshin Motomachi Station and five-minute walk north from Kencho-mae Station on the subway.
